There is now an IETF mailing list for TAP. It is an open list and you can join at their mailman page.

Please read the initial IETF proposal discussion.

  1. Coming up with a charter for an IETF Working Group. A proposed charter is up, please contribute!
  2. Writing an Internet-Draft as a starting point for the final RFC.

    • Explains document processes, appeals process, etc.
  • RFC 2418: IETF WG Guidelines and Procedures
    • Defines WG chair role, rules for conducting WG buisness, etc.
  • RFC 3978: IETF Rights in Contributions
    • What IETF requires in order to accept contributions (legalese about copyrights and terms)
  • RFC 4748: Update to RFC 3978 to Recognize the IETF Trust
